Case Studies for PHP-based Frameworks
I’m currently looking for case studies of companies that have used a PHP-based application framework. The particular framework is unimportant, as long as it is PHP-based.
To be specific, I’m looking to see how the PHP-based application framework helped to solve a problem in your company and how successful it was at solving that problem. Were there any problems you had to overcome to make the framework perform according to your project specifications? Did you decide to continue your use of it, and would you recommend it to others?
I will be using the case studies in future articles—and possibly talks. I’ll be sure to credit the companies when discussing case studies.
Send case studies to ramsey at php dot net or post a comment here, and I’ll get in touch with you.

I'm working as an software developer and we'r looking for a new framework for our PHP projects.
It's exhausting. I found about 100 framworks... After a realy quick few on every page, I still got about 30 frameworks on my list...
Now I took a short look on every documentation, to kick every framework which is not nice documented, I searched every project for concept description, everyone with a good sketch styed on my list...
After this list cleaning I still got about 20 frameworks, and after I red most concept descripitions of them I got realy frustradet!
Non of this frameworks fits our needs...
We don't need a big bunch of librarys and user/group management classes... We just need a framework which helps us to speed up our development...
We need something like a coding pattern combined with some little scripts and an idea how the caching could work, and how we'll integrate the views/templates...
I would love to read some suggestions...
I created an application (my first) to handle ou r companys 60,000 record inventory. That includes technician car stocks, warehouse inventory and expense reports among others. I'm new to development, but it works and I'm proud of it. I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I'm interested in getting involved in projects involving PHP. Thanks.
Chris
I would love to see the results if you don't mind. As I'm evaluating some frameworks at the moment.
